All Change At The Creamery

Fresh on the doorstep this week from The Isle of Man Creamery's new £800,000 milk processing machine is the carton with a cap. The logo has been revamped, but the main thing is that folk will not have to struggle to open one witthout scissors. Manx milk is now fresher than ever. On the left is the previous version.

Some Manx gorse in flower. The colours so rich and vibrant early in May. This gorse is found on the Heritage Footpath (former railway line) in Kirk Michale, Isle of Man.
Good news again, another copyright claim released, but just a moment. If I file a dispute on Saturday, how is the claim released for lack of reviw within 30 days on Monday? TuneCore and Google must have a differnet way of counting on these copyright claims. Be nice to get actual acknowedgement that I was right and they were wrong!

More Copyright Claims On Youtube

Youtube and/or TuneCore seem to think I have been useing music by Apex Mentis, on this video of Orrisdale, Michael, Isle of Man, "Cosmic Breath" has been identified. It is all very strange since the actual music used was generated automtically by Sony Cinescore (theme used being "Into The Lens") and so is 'Royalty Free'. What is also a little odd, is that a Google search for Apex Mentis seems to suggest that most of his music was released in 2015 and most of the videos flagged date from 2010. We shall see what happens. It is a pain when you have to spend time digging out old material to see what music theme was actually used.

YouTube Copyright Claims

The evening before last was peaceful, until checking my email I noticed a copyright claim on the audio track of one of the mankview videos. Momentary panic, followed by breathing fire for a few minutes, led to an actuall viewing of the offending video and the pleasent memory that it was produced automatically by Cinescore from Sony (a product now discontinued). When disputing a copyright claim the warnings from Youtube are fierce - your channel may be banned .... or similar - but I knew I was right so clicked submit and waited. Thankfully the replay from CD Baby was that they had withdrawn their claim. Truth prevailed - but it would have been easy to have been intimadated into having adverting displayed for CD Baby's benefit. Of course no appology passed onto me - or any refernece to my lost time looking into it. I can't help wonder if companies whole file false claims receive any penalty? Somehow I doubt it - but if I had got it wrong.....
This is the "offending" video. The theme used is "Many Rivers" "Drifting Flute" variation.

Parliament Street Ramsey October

Taking a walk in Ramsey its not long before you come accross the regeneration work on Parliament Street. Due to finish by the 11th of November the results of this stage are beginning to take shape. Not quite sure how it is designed to actually help the present traders, especially Feltons Ironmongers - who have relied for years on customers being able to pull up outside to load a bag of compost etc. No doubt the Mitre Hotel and Costa Coffee (due to open sometime soon ie probably after the work is complete outside their new premises)will benefit but the main aspect seems to draw people to the Post Office!
At the other end of the street we see that A taste of Brazil has closed. So another business opportunity opens for anyone willing to take on the property. How about "A Taste of Ramsey"
